The magic of the written word
The Hagetisse's Herbal Grimoire
A4 sized reference work with in depth information about the medicinal and magical properties, edibility and use of plants. Includes instructions for making a wide range of herbals and an extensive register.
About the Hagetisse
Since 2020, I have been writing my online content mainly for my wise woman website. I do this under the name Hagetisse, which is actually not so much a name but a job description.
The articles and blogs that you’ll find on this website largely overlap with the topics on the website you are currently on, but not completely. None of the articles are on both websites.
So do you want to read more of my work and are you interested in holistic medicine, herbalism and magic? Then be sure to take a look around over there.

Life after Facebook
This week I finally did it: I cancelled my Facebook account. I was very late in joining the FB legion, but - once in - I was in completely. I collected friends, groups, pages and events. I was fully enjoying virtual life. But somewhere deep inside it didn’t feel...
Wide awake
Five a clock in the morning and I’m wide awake. Both physically and mentally completely switched on. I do not feel startled or anything. I am just very, very, very awake and alert. It happens to me every now and then. I wake up with a feeling of urgency, of...
Silence is golden
When I was about 18, a family member who was at my birthday commented on the appearance of one of the other guests. I remember the exact words, but they don't translate well, so the gist will have to do. She basically said, loudly, that the person in question had the...
The Story of Roundy Fatmouse – Prologue
Roundy's godmother Maria and I have touched upon how great it would be if Roundy's extraordinary story would end up in a real book. And who knows, it could easily happen! Last Saturday I met a little mouse on the streets of Tralee. He was there with his godmother...
wholehearted
Hello!
I am Emma
Air monger, versatile author, dream creator, earth warrior writer and roots healer (not necessarily in this order). Some of these titles might not ring bells right away. So I will also describe myself in (rather more boring) standardised terms: I am a writer and a wise woman.
My work has this one common thread: I want to make you think about life and your role in it. Does life really work the way you think it does? Is it the way you’d like it to be? When it comes to writing, I write both fiction and non-fiction. I also lecture and give inspirational speeches and workshops.
